Program settings of dentalcnc

In the settings of dentalcnc, you can customize the program to suit your work environment. In addition to the user interface, this primarily includes the folders from which dentalcnc it retrieves its data.

Note that there are additional machine-specific settings that you maintain elsewhere in the program. See Machine settings

Opening program settings

Open the dentalcam settings with the following icon in thesystem menu:
Select the Program settings tab.

Options

Option	Description
User interface
Language	Sets the user interface language. A change requires a program restart.
Display tooltips	If activated, dentalcnc displays tooltips when you hover over icons with the mouse.
Jobs
Exchange folder for dentalcam jobs	The path to the directory from which dentalcnc imports the calculated jobs of dentalcam. The directory must also be specified in the dentalcam settings (option there: Exchange folder for dentalcnc jobs). Standard C:\Users\Public\vhf-camfacture\dentalcam_9\CNCTransfer
Exchange folder for trimcam jobs	The path to the directory from which dentalcnc imports the calculated jobs of trimcam. The directory must also be specified in the trimcam settings (Milling output directory option).
Manual import of NC files	If activated, you can import NC files individually in the Manufacturing view. NC files contain manufacturing data from third-party CAM programs.
Webcams
"Working chamber webcam" folder	The path to the directory where dentalcnc videos from the webcam in the working chamber of certain machine models are saved.
Blank changer Machine component which stores multiple blanks in a magazine and which can automatically load them into the working chamber.. Delete videos when the limit is exceeded	As soon as the video data exceeds this limit, dentalcnc deletes videos until the set limit is met. Videos may enable customer service to analyze errors more accurately. Weigh the trade-off between storage space and potentially better support in the event of an error.
Import NC data automatically
Import NC data automatically	If activated, dentalcnc automatically imports NC files from a specified folder and displays them in the Jobs view. NC files contain manufacturing data from third-party CAM programs.
