Storage period for calculated objects in days |
Specify how long dentalcam stores the object data generated by the calculation. This data is used in the residual material display, where it serves as a preview of the objects after manufacturing. This setting does not affect jobs or original objects in the blank archive. dentalcam does not automatically delete jobs and objects from the blank archive. |
Base the blank ID on the creation date |
If activated, dentalcam changes the format for blank IDs for all future blank as follows: Job creation date – sequential number The sequential number is reset daily. It is independent of the default blank ID. Example:: 01.03.2026 – 002 This blank ID denotes the second blank that was created on March 1, 2026. Purpose of this feature: If you are using a material with a limited shelf life, you can use the blank ID to record when the blank was created. Recommendation: To also record the expiration date of a blank, use the comment field when creating the blank. |
Use metadata |
If activated, you can select metadata from your CAD application during object import to apply the object parameters from it. For more information, see Metadata files for objects. |
Use auto-positioning |
If activated, dentalcam automatically arranges the objects on the blank when the blank is loaded. |
