Adjust several trim lines at the same time

If several models are edited in a series, trim lines can now be automatically adjusted by interpolation. The first and last trim line of the series, or of a desired area of the series, are adjusted manually. The trim lines in between are automatically interpolated. This enables an optimized and more efficient workflow.

Autostart of the calculation steps

From now on, the various calculation steps will start automatically. If parameters are changed, the calculation restarts automatically. This enables a faster and more efficient workflow.

The software interface is now more intuitive. You will find all machining steps on one page.

Improved trim line detection

Trim line detection for complex dental arch models (e.g. with tooth gaps) has been improved.

New file format for importing trim lines

From now on, you can also import trim lines in .asc format in addition to the .pts file format.

Reduced printing costs

To save material, you can now prepare dental arch models as hollow bodies for 3D printing.

Improved quality of the milled edge

Optimized machining parameters achieve milled edges with an improved surface quality.

Optimized labeling function

You now have more setting options for labeling the dental arch model. Choose between recessed and raised lettering, adjust the font size or add additional text to the file name.

Display of available software updates

From now on, available software updates are now displayed in trimcam. Download these under Settings.

Improved contrast when manually editing the trim line

The contrast between the trim line and dental arch model when editing the trim line manually has been improved.

Importing job templates

You can now import job templates.

Optimized material selection

From now on, you no longer have to choose between E3 and E3 Splint when using materials with different thicknesses.

Log file available in the settings

You can now download a log file with system and software information in the settings.

Migration of jobs from an older software version

You can now migrate jobs from the older to the newer version when updating trimcam.

Optimized calculation time

From now on, trimcam will calculate jobs faster.

Display list shows full STL name

From now on, trimcam displays the full STL name in the Display drop-down list.

Improved machining strategy for protective foils up to 2 mm

The machining strategy was adapted to improve tool life.

Problems with the calculation fixed

No calculation could be performed on certain computers.

Japanese characters can be printed

Japanese characters could not be printed.

This behavior has been corrected.

Incorrect behavior of the Bezier curves corrected

Moving the control points of the Bezier curves caused to incorrect curves.

trimcam now has a new interface.

Accelerated trim line calculation and improved response times

From now on, trimcam calculates the trim line faster. The response times of trimcam have been improved.

Manual trim line editing via Bezier curves

From now on, you can edit the trim line with the help of control points and Bezier curves.

 

Drainage hole in the base

From now on, the base has a drainage hole through which excess resin can drain off during the SLA process. This makes it easier to detach the printed dental arch model.

Improved trim line detection

With models on which individual teeth are missing, problems occurred when detecting the trim line.

This behavior has been corrected.

Trim line import

From now on, you can import trim lines from CAD applications.

From now on, you can label the dental arch models with their file names.

trimcam is now available in Japanese

From now on, the user interface is available in Japanese.

Protective foil thicknesses starting at 2 mm can be processed

From now on, you can process trimcam protective foils with a thickness of 2–5 mm.

Calculating the interval of the trim lines during serial machining

The interval calculation allows you to specify how many trim lines should be calculated. This shortens the calculation time of the trim lines during serial machining.

STL files with an incorrect mesh structure are automatically corrected when they are imported.

The creation of the CAM STL file has been adjusted. This improves the printability.

Color for buttons added

Selectable buttons are now displayed in blue.

The license file has been revised.

Protective foils were not always completely cut during milling.

Error when opening jobs from job list removed

Saved jobs shown in the job list were sometimes not opened.

Custom job templates

You can now save settings for trim, base and material parameters as a template.

Moving the trim line manually

You can now drag & drop the trim line in the 3D display.

Output folders can now be adjusted

The output folders for 3D printing and milling with dentalcnc can now be adjusted under Settings. New installation is no longer necessary.
